Wayne Ayer serves as the Senior Pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Stilson, Georgia. With over 25 years of ministry experience, Pastor Wayne brings a shepherd’s heart and a preacher’s passion to our congregation. His calling is rooted in a deep love for God’s Word and a genuine desire to walk with people through every stage of life.

Originally from Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, Pastor Wayne preached his first sermon at the age of 12 and has never looked back. He moved to the United States in 2000 and became a U.S. citizen in 2007. Alongside his pastoral work, he has served in hospice care, offering spiritual support and comfort to individuals and families navigating end-of-life journeys.

 

Pastor Wayne’s preaching style is both engaging and grounded in Scripture, often blending clear biblical teaching with real-life application. He believes the church should be more than a building—it should be a lighthouse, shining God’s truth and grace into the darkness of the world.

He is blessed to share life and ministry with his wife, Amber, who serves faithfully in women’s ministry, guest services, and our food ministry outreach. Together, they have three wonderful children: Ethan, Naomi, and Matthew, as well as two beloved cockapoos, Toby and Maggie.

Whether he’s preaching, visiting, or simply listening, Pastor Wayne’s greatest joy is helping people discover the hope, purpose, and transformation found in Jesus Christ.
