Leadership Profiles
Elder Danny Sherrod
Danny is 70 years old and has lived in the Stilson community his whole life. Raised in the church Danny has led his family to walk with and serve the Lord. His wife Terry is active in the Women's ministry and Music ministry here at Lighthouse. Their son Wes is our Associate Pastor, daughter in law Jennifer the Children's ministry coordinator and their grandson Isaac organ/piano player. Danny is the Senior Elder in our church and is a true servant of the Lord.
Elder Wayne Swint
Wayne is 74 years old and was born and raised in Stilson except for one year on Hilton Head Island and one year in Nashville, Tn. He retired from Gulfstream Aerospace as a mechanical engineer. He has served churches as a youth Sunday school teacher (our Associate Pastor Wes was his student), a Sunday school superintendent and a deacon. He was raised in church and became a Christian at the age of 12. He is a founding member of Lighthouse. He is married to Sheryl Marie Swint and they have 2 sons (one deceased), 9 grandchildren and one great grandson.
Elder David Gardner
David is 67 years old and is a native of Southern Georgia. David has been active in the Body of Christ starting at an early age and continues to serve as an Elder here at Lighthouse. David has felt called throughout his life to be an Evangelist and has taught and preached the word of God as he has sought to seek and save the lost. He continues to seek God's guidance and will for his ministry through his ongoing studies of scripture and the training of other pastors and teachers.

John’s roots run deep in the heart of Southern Georgia, growing up in the close-knit communities of Savannah, Pembroke, and Stilson. From an early age, the church was more than just a place for Sunday mornings—it was home. Over the years, John has poured his heart into a variety of ministry roles, always driven by a desire to serve and connect with others.
For more than 20 years, he's shared life's journey with his amazing wife, Tammy.
